Northport Golf Club Junior Golf Clinics

The 2025 golf season at Northport Golf Club has kicked off and Northport will once again offer a free junior instructional program hosted by our PGA Professional, John Hickson.

This is a great opportunity for junior participants from 6-17 years old to learn, improve, and get to know other players. The program will start on Saturday, May 31st at 10:00 AM and continue each Saturday morning ending on July 5th. The program sessions will last for an hour and participants will need to supply their own equipment. The program will include etiquette, putting, chipping, and full shot instruction.

John was selected by Golf Digest in 2024 as the top golf instructor for the State of Maine. John actively participates in PGA sanctioned tournaments around the country and is a frequent winner, including being a multiple year winner of the State of Maine Championship. In 2024 John again qualified for the Senior PGA Club Professional tournament that was held in Sun River Oregon.

If any Junior would like to continue to work on their game the Junior Membership rate is only $80.00.

There will be a sign-up sheet in the Clubhouse. Participation will be limited so please sign up early. Parents/Guardians will need to sign a release before their Junior can participate.

The membership at Northport feels very strongly that we need to promote the growth of the game in our community through junior golf. We look forward to hosting this fun and rewarding program!
