Congratulations are in order for Northport Golf Club member, Travis Curtis. Travis recently won the 2021 Maine State Special Olympics Golf Tournament which was held at the Poland Springs Country Club. With this victory, Travis has now won 13 consecutive Maine State Special Olympics championships. Amazing!!!
As Maine State Special Olympics champion, Travis will be representing Maine next summer at the National Special Olympics tournament. The National Tournament is held once every four years and will be played this coming June in Orlando, Florida. Playing at the National Tournament is nothing new for Travis. Over the years he has represented Maine at the tournaments held in Nebraska (2010), New Jersey (2014) where he won a bronze medal, and Seattle, Washington (2018) where he again was the bronze medalist.
Thank you to Mike Marshall for providing the details of Travis’ amazing win! Please congratulate Travis if you see him in the course.
