The course is closed for the winter, and will reopen once spring warms up the ground, and our expert maintenance staff gives us the okay to play. We will be announcing Opening Day here and on our Facebook Page. The target date is April 15th. We anticipate opening with tee times and social distancing requirements, and will provide updated safety plans once they are confirmed.
Sue Gordon, NGC Board President, had this to say about the plans for this coming season: “Improvements planned for this summer include tree planting, upgraded forward tees, a new website, some equipment purchases, and last but not least – a new, larger maintenance shed.”
Fundraising letters regarding the new maintenance shed have been sent to all members, with the goal of raising $100,000 by May 31st. This is a major project, and a contribution of any amount will be greatly appreciated. We are also planning some fun fundraising events – look for details on the “Caddy for the Shack” tournament planned for July 10th. Stay tuned for more details on the new maintenance shed.
3/19/21 Update: Exciting news just in from the fundraising committee. We have received pledges of over $62,000 towards the goal of $100,000 for the new maintenance shed. Thank you for your generous contributions. And remember, any amount is appreciated. It all adds up!
